TCCC Men's Basketball Players of the Week (Jan. 18, 2010)

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Curry College senior guard Mark Mastrullo (Billerica, Mass.) averaged 22.5 points, five rebounds, and four assists per contest in a 2-0 week for the Colonels in TCCC play. Mastrullo opened up the week with 23 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals in an impressive 91-86 road win over the University of New England. He followed up with 22 points, four rebounds, and four assists in a 72-66 win over Regis. On the week, Mastrullo was tremendous from the charity stripe shooting at a 88% clip (21-of-24).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Western New England College sophomore guard Andre Shaw (Jamaica, N.Y.) making his first two career starts helped lead the Golden Bears to a pair of impressive conference victories. Shaw netted 15 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 76-57 win over Roger Williams. He then notched 22 points on 62% shooting (8-of-13) including an impressive 56% (5-of-9) from beyond the arc in a 88-81 win over TCCC rival Endicott. For the week he averaged 18.5 points on 52% shooting (14-of-27) from the floor, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per contest.
