TCCC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week (May 10, 2010)
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Endicott College senior attacker Kristen Micho (Syracuse, N.Y.) scored five goals, including the game-winner, in a 19-10 semifinal victory of Western New England. Micho then tallied four goals, including three in consecutive goals to close out the game, in a 10-4 win over Roger Williams in the championship game. The win gave the Gulls their fifth straight women’s lacrosse title.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Endicott College senior defender Kendahl Light (South Hero, Vt.) helped the Gulls defense allow just 14 goals in the final two rounds of TCCC tournament play. Light had four caused turnovers and three ground balls in a 19-10 semifinal win over Western New England. In the championship game, Light and the Gulls defense held Roger Williams to just five shots on goal in the contest while causing four turnovers in the 10-4 victory.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Endicott College freshman midfielder Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.) was a solid contributor this week for the Gulls, scoring three goals in a 19-10 win over WNEC in the semifinals. Davis also scooped up 11 ground balls, won seven draw controls, and had three caused turnovers in the final two rounds of TCCC Championship play.
